Editorial policy
Brilliant Story House aims to make story craft clear, lively and fair to the range of ways stories are made. We value accurate explanations, transparent interests and corrections made plainly.
Accuracy and examples
We check factual claims against suitable sources and review explanations for clarity. When a piece discusses a named work, we take care to represent its relevant details accurately and distinguish interpretation from fact. Examples are used to illuminate a craft point, not to claim that one technique works for every writer.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for the usefulness and relevance of a piece to readers. Commercial relationships do not buy favourable editorial coverage. Where a contributor or editor has a relevant interest, we disclose it when it could affect how readers understand the material.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or unclear explanation, contact us with the article title and the point in question. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted; significant changes are identified clearly so readers can understand what changed.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner content is labelled clearly wherever it appears, and is kept distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where used, they are identified as AI-generated and are not presented as documentary images.
Every story is a set of choices
We look at the craft beneath the page, from the pressure inside a scene to the sound of a sentence. Understanding those choices can deepen both reading and writing.
